Thank you Suncorp and Queensland Police Service!

A Safer Queensland Community Grant of $10,000 thanks to Suncorp and the Queensland Police Service will sure help kick us off to a great start for 2017.

2016 has been a great start for us with 15 programs delivered to directly benefit vulnerable young people throughout the Sunshine Coast, and training 5 new program facilitators to help us reach even more of our young people.

Unfortunately suicide remains the leading cause of death among our Australian young people. Increasing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress are known to lead to social isolation, self-harm, and suicide.

The good news is, last year, we've consistently seen reductions of symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress in the order of 52%-62%, and increased social and emotional skills of 40% in our program participants, empowering them to re-engage in their education and healthy relationships with others. The school-support staff, teachers and Principals we've been working with are wrapped! See what they've been saying here.

If you'd like to help us reach more of our local young people, we'd be OVER THE MOON to receive your tax-deductible support!

Have a great New Year everyone. We wish you and your family health and prosperity for the year ahead. From the team at Al Taylor For Kids BUILDING YOUNG PEOPLE
